A place is formalized with the completed and signed form, the required documents and payment. Applications are processed in order of receipt and payment. A 14-day cooling-off period applies after registration.
The enrollment fee must be paid before the course begins. Absence, public holidays or vacations do not result in a reduction or refund. A study break must be communicated in writing, and payment remains due through the month of notification. If CEOC cancels or postpones the course because the minimum number of students is not reached, it will offer an alternative and, if none is available, refund the amounts paid.
Attendance is mandatory. Professional conduct, respect for privacy, confidentiality of information, and compliance with hygiene, biosafety and conduct standards are required in academic and clinical settings.
Each module ends with an assessment. The minimum passing grade is 5.5 out of 10, and each examination may be repeated once after a failed attempt. Valid official identification is required to sit an examination. Plagiarism, fraud or other irregularities may invalidate the result and lead to academic measures.
Complaints must identify the complainant, be specific and be submitted in writing. They are handled confidentially, receipt is confirmed within 48 hours, and CEOC aims to resolve them within 10 working days. Academic objections must be submitted within three weeks of the decision.
The diploma is issued after successfully completing the modules, assessments, professional practice and administrative obligations. Any registration with health authorities requires meeting their additional conditions and is not automatic.

It is a blended theoretical and practical training program developed by Centro de Especialidades Odontológicas Curaçao (CEOC NV). It prepares participants to support the dentist safely, ethically and efficiently in clinical care, biosafety, practice organization and patient care.
It is intended for people interested in professional training as dental assistants who have completed secondary education. Eligible applicants include students with a VSBO, HAVO, VWO or MBO level 4 diploma.
The course uses a blended format with theoretical and practical training. Academic activities take place at CEOC NV, Saliña 145, Willemstad, Curaçao. Professional practice takes place in dental services in Curaçao.
Communication and classes are mainly in Papiamentu and Spanish. The program also considers English and Dutch. Under the regulations, examinations are held in Papiamentu and Spanish.
The total duration is 12 months: 9 months of theoretical and practical classes and 3 months of internships. The academic workload comprises 160 theoretical and practical hours and 320 hours of professional practice, for a total of 480 academic hours.
The academic phase is planned for one day per week, with 6 academic hours per class. The internship consists of 320 academic hours, equivalent to 3 months, with 4-hour shifts five days per week.
It includes an introduction to dentistry, oral anatomy and physiology, clinical history and odontograms, periodontics, occupational health and ergonomics, four-handed dentistry, instruments and dental materials, radiology and CBCT imaging, prosthetics and digital workflows, pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, biosafety and infection control, emergencies, pharmacology, patient care, professional ethics and dental administration in Curaçao.
Each module includes a theoretical and/or practical assessment. Students must pass the theoretical and practical components before entering the internship. Internships are assessed using a checklist. The minimum passing grade established in the regulations is 5.5 out of 10.
After successfully completing all modules, assessments, internships and administrative requirements, the student receives the Professional Training Diploma in Dental Assisting, corresponding to the title identified in the regulations as Professional Dental Assistant.
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Curaçao licensed the course “Formashon pa Asistente Dental”, delivered by CEOC NV, through Ministerial Resolution No. 2025/027503 dated June 15, 2026. The ministerial document states that the diploma or declaration will receive the licence seal once compliance with all quality requirements set by the Ministry has been demonstrated.
Registration must not be presented as automatic. After successfully completing the course, BIG registration requires meeting the additional conditions established by Volksgezondheid Curaçao.
The enrollment fee is XCG 500 and must be paid before the course begins.
The monthly payment is XCG 500 for 12 consecutive months. The total scheduled cost is XCG 6,500: an XCG 500 enrollment fee plus 12 monthly payments of XCG 500. Program examination fees are included in the price.
